Smeg Induction
Hobs @ We Sell It
The Smeg range of induction hobs with refined aesthetics and avant-garde technology offers excellent safety features and precise temperature control, a valid alternative to the existing Smeg ceramic range.
Induction
Smeg induction hobs enable professional cooking to be undertaken on a ceramic surface. There are many advantages to choosing induction. This impressive technique is twice as fast as most cooking methods and offers precise temperature control. In addition induction is designed to maximize energy efficiency and minimize heat loss by only heating up the base of the pan. All Inductions hobs feature the suprema black glass surface, this hard wearing glass offers extreme resistance to heat as well as being easy to maintain.
Induction cooking is based on magnetic fields: each "element" ( an induction coil) generates a magnetic field that induces heat onto a ferrous material based pan. In essence the pot becomes the element that cooks the food, so the surface doesnÕt reach the temperatures of standard ceramic hobs, only picking up residual heat from the pan base.
Giant Zone
The SE2951ID1 and SE263ID1 both feature a giant 2.8kW zone in the centre with a diameter of 29cm, large enough for a generous sized paella pan and capable of achieving 3.2kW in turbo made for a period of 10 minutes. Induction hobs include a variety of zone sizes from a diameter of 10cm, up to the new giant zone. The main range offers 30cm, 60cm, 77cm and 90cm wide induction with a selection of different zone options.
Touch Controls
All Induction hobs have touch controls along the front edge to maximize the cooking area, they are also extremely versatile since they complement any kitchen design. Cooking zones have individual power displays to show the power level set (from 1 to 9) and any residual heat after use
